Army Conducts COVID Awareness Camp in Manipur’s Senapati District

 

Guwahati: The troops of Indian Army conducted a COVID -19 awareness campaign and distributed food relief items in the remote village of Puilong in Tamei Sub Division in Senapati District of Manipur on June 23.

The programme was organized on the request of the villagers with the aim to alleviate their difficulties during the lockdown period. During the event, the Army Medical Officer conducted a lecture on precautionary measures against the spread of COVID 19 for the benefit of the locals. The troops also distributed food relief items to the residents of the village.

The local and village elders appreciated the efforts of the troops of Indian Army in extending the humanitarian assistance. They also expressed their gratitude for reaching out to the needy in such times of distress.
