Guwahati: Amid the crisis situation in the state, Gurushala conducted online training for teachers of Vidya Bharati Uttar Assam Prant under four batches (11-12, 13-14, 18-19 and 20-21 August 2020).
More than 3,000 teachers participated in the training in four batches.
To encourage teachers, the Sishu Siksha Samiti, General Secretary Kulendra Kumar Bhagwati, Vidya Bharati Northeast Region Organization Secretary Brahmaji Rao, Asstt-organization Secretary Dr. Pawan Tiwari and North Assam Province Organization secretary Hemant Dhing Majumdar gave their valuable suggestions.
On the final day of completion of the training, Bhavesh Kalita, Minister of State Education, Assam State and Dixit Sharma, Journalist, Sailendra Pandey, Head of Publicity, Vidya Bharati also addressed the teachers.
Notably, Gurushala is an initiative of Indus Towers Limited and Vodafone India Foundation and is implemented by Pratham Education Foundation. The Gurushala works on capacity building of teachers to use technical and innovative teaching to improve student learning and achieve holistic development of children. Due to the ongoing lockdown, the Gurushala is organizing weekly online training, subject matter sessions, and competitions to assist teachers' efforts in teaching online and remotely. In the process, 10,000+ teachers across India have been trained through online medium.
In this epidemic, subjects that are included in the online training are content creation, project learning, social-emotional development of students, etc. Gurushala is an online platform with a community of 25,000+ teachers and Gurushala provides the facility to conduct free online courses related to various subjects and classes.
