Shillong: An employee of Green-Wood Resort was tested COVID-19 positive on Thursday.
The person hailing from Ri-Bhoi district of Meghalaya was working at Green-wood Resort in Guwahati’s Khanapara, informed Meghalaya Health Minister AL Hek.
With this, the total number of active cases in the state rose to 12.
Addressing the media, AL Hek stated that the information was passed to Ri- Bhoi Deputy Commissioner and accordingly, a confirmatory test was also conducted to prove that the individual is COVID-19 positive.
Meanwhile, it has also come to light that the person was earlier tested positive in Assam and then the Government of Assam handed him over to Meghalaya Government where he was tested COVID-19 positive.
