Jaipur: After being sacked from the Rajasthan state government, Sachin Pilot reiterated that he is not joining Bhartiya Janata Party. After his reiteration, BJP’s Wednesday meet has been deferred in Jaipur. Amid this tussle, Congress party spokesperson Sanjay Jha, who has been suspended due to anti-party activities for supporting Pilot said, “The battle has begun”.
Rajasthan Congress in-charge Avinash Pande said, “The Congress party has issued the notice to Pilot and 18 other party members for not attending the meeting. If they don’t respond within 2 days, it will be considered as withdrawing the membership from Congress Legislative Party.”
BJP is closely monitoring the situation and claim this tussle as Congress party’s internal matter. Gulab Chand Kataria said, “We are only watching from a distance, this is Congress' internal matter. I spoke to Vasundhara Raje and we will discuss all matters. There was no indication given to us that he (Pilot) will join us, he had issues with his party. We have our numbers with us. if there is a floor test we will look into it, we are not asking for a floor test. Congress needs to prove its number for the sake of democracy.”
However, Sachin Pilot dropout every speculation of joining BJP and says, “He has worked very hard to bring Congress back in government in Rajasthan. Some leaders in the state are trying to fuel speculation that I am joining BJP but I am not doing so.”
