Itanagar: On Thursday 11 fresh COVID-19 positive cases were reported in Arunachal Pradesh. With this addition, the total COVID-19 infected cases in the state rose to 287 as per information provided by State surveillance officer Dr. L Jampa on Thursday.
Providing the break-up Dr. L Jampa said that the 11 new cases, Itanagar Capital Complex and Lower Subansiri reported 5 cases each while 1 was from Changlang.
As per official data, the Lower Subansiri positive cases are returnees from Assam and the Changlang positive case is that of a person who had returned from UP. Similarly, the three Itanagar Capital Complex positive cases are from Itanagar Capital Complex are returnees from Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and Assam while two others are from Naharlagun in Arunachal.
Dr L Jampa further added, “All are asymptomatic and shifted to COVID Care Centres and contact tracing of the two patients from Naharlagun is underway.”
