Speaking to local newspaper Anninhthudo, Nguyen said that blood was leaking from the child's mouth after he caught her. She was taken to the nearby National Children's Hospital and was treated for a dislocated hip, The Daily Mail reports, citing local media. Nguyen also suffered a slight sprain in his arm.

"When the incident happened I did not think much. Seeing the baby, I immediately thought of my daughter at home and hurriedly tried to save her. Everything happened within a minute. I didn't understand how I could scale the roof that quickly. I couldn't believe I saved the girl's life," Nguyen told VN Express.
