Factory gutted in major fire incident in Silchar, No casualties

A devastating fire broke out at the factory of MK Chowdhury & Sons, at Silchar Ashram Road in the wee hour of Wednesday at 2:30 am.

The whole fire engulfed the factory, including the warehouse.

No casualties were reported during the fire incident.

Approximately, 19 fire brigade tenders came from different places from Tarapur, Rangirkhari, Udarbandh, Borkhala to bring the fire under control during the war from night till dawn.

Speaking to the media, the manager of the factory said about the fire that he is under suspicion whether someone purposely set fire or fire caught due to a short circuit.

He further stated that properties worth several lakhs have been damaged in the fire incident.
