Farmers' Protest: Haryana & Delhi Police Dig Pits to Prevent Farmers from Reaching Delhi

Delhi and Haryana Police has been deploying measures like the Maoists to prevent the farmers marching to reach Delhi.

The farmers are reaching Delhi from Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Pradesh to protest against the recently imposed Farm Bills.

The Haryana and Delhi Police both under the BJP Government has been digging pits of several meters amidst the highways to prevent the farmers from reaching Delhi.

It is to be noted that the Maoists have been deploying the same tactic in their strong holds to prevent the Police cars from venturing deep into the villages.

The Delhi and Haryana Police indulging in such tactics amount to IPC charges for destroying public property.

The farmers are protesting against the Bill stating that the Bill will destroy the MSP for farmers and hence needs to be revoked.

The Delhi Police Commissioner said that the farmers are stopped from gathering owing to the Covid protocols. Ironically the Covid protocols don't seem to be followed while holding political rallies and religious gatherings across the country.
