"Protests will only create more martyrs", says Amit Shah

Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said in a public meeting at Amingaon Parade Ground in Guwahati that the protests in the state will create more and more martyrs.

In his address at a crowded function in the outskirt of Guwahati city on Saturday said that the agitation will only create more martyrs and nothing else.

He said that Congress has patronized a number of regional parties to divide the BJP votes in the 2021 assembly polls. "BJP will get absolute majority in the upcoming assembly polls. There is no doubt about it," said the Union home minister.

He claimed that only the BJP government managed to stop rhino poaching and illegal settlement in the Kaziranga National Park.  He further assured the people of steps to solve the perennial flood problem in the state if BJP retains power.

Shah reached the city on Friday night and held a series of meetings with party leaders. He further discussed strategies for 2021 assembly polls at a meeting of BJP-AGP-UPPL-GSP leaders.
