Tinsukia Admin Issues Travel Restriction Amid Virus Scare

Guwahati: Amid the rise in COVID-19 positive cases in Kamrup (M) and subsequent imposition of TOTAL LOCKDOWN in the District, the District Administration of Tinsukia has restricted traveling back and forth from Kamrup (M) to Tinsukia District and vice versa in order to contain the spread of COVID-19.

In a notification, Tinsukia Administration stated that the decision of imposing traveling restriction on back and forth journey of people from Kamrup (M) to Tinsukia district and vice versa was taken in the interest of maintenance of public health, hygiene and safety of the general public.

The heads of the department are being directed to ensure that no back and forth journey of officials and staff of their department to Kamrup (M) shall take place until further order.

If there is any such movement due to emergency from Kamrup (M), the concerned persons will be subjected to strict home quarantine after screening/swab testing.
