Assam Rifles hands over Water Storage Tank to village authorities in Manipur

The Kadamtala Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of  Headquarters 21 Sector Assam Rifles and Inspector General Assam Rifles (East) constructed and handed over a Water Storage Tank to village authorities at Village New Kaiphundai, District - Tamenglong, Manipur on 28 December 2020.

The village of New Kaiphundai is remotely located in a mountainous area and faces acute water scarcity throughout the year due to limited water in the seasonal streams. The Kadamtala Battalion constructed a water storage tank for villagers of New Kaiphundai village. The water tank will alleviate the water problem of the local villages and improve their quality of life.

The contribution of the Battalion has been greatly appreciated by the villagers and they expressed their commitment towards establishing peace and development in the region.
