Assam Police locate former MP Biswajit Daimary’s son Amitraj Daimary
The 16-year-old Amitraj Daimary, son of former MP Biswajit Daimary has been located by Assam Police on Wednesday morning.
Informing about the matter, ADGP (Law and Order) GP Singh takes to Twitter saying, “The missing child of Ex-MP Sri Biswajeet Daimary has been located. A big relief for all of us.”
Notably, Amitraj Daimary, who is a student of the Public Reality School of Kokrajhar went missing on Tuesday afternoon. The former MP earlier this morning said his son was helped by his fellow classmate when he told them that he wants to go home.

Dhubri Journo’s Arrest: CID to probe case, Govt transfers DFO and SP
Guwahati: The arrest of Dhubri based TV Journalist Rajib Sarma led to an uproar among the Journalists' fraternity in the state, thus, leading to the transfer of the Dhubri’s Divisional Forest Officer Biswajit Roy and Superintendent of Police, Yuvraj with immediate effect on Friday.
As per a notification of the Home Department, Dhubri SP Yuvraj is now being posted as the Commandant, 1st AP Battalion, Ligiripukuhri. On the other hand, Charaideo SP Anand Mishra has been transferred and posted as the new Superintendent of Police, Dhubri.
Similarly, in another notification by the Environment and Forest Department, Dhubri DFO Biswajit Roy has been transferred to the Genetic Cell Division in Guwahati and the current DFO of the Genetic Cell Division, PV Trimbak will be posted to Dhubri.
Speaking to media, ADGP (Law and Order) GP Singh has informed the media that the case of the arrest of the journo has been transferred to the CID for a proper probe.
Also, a Special Investigation Team will be formed to inquire about the role of the Dhubri district police in cattle smuggling cases, informed GP Singh.
He also mentioned that the Vigilance and Anti Corruption Cell will be investigating the DFO’s case separately.
Furthermore, a preliminary investigation on the arrest of the journo’s case was conducted by GP Singh himself and the final report will be submitted to the DGP Assam Police and Chief Minister of Assam by this evening.
