Anti Rabies Vaccination drive for elephants carried out in Kaziranga

Kaziranga: As a part of the post-flood management, the first phase of the Anti Rabies Vaccination drive for the camp elephants of Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve was carried out at Central Range this morning.

Beginning from July 28 last, till date a total number of 16 numbers of domestic cattle species died with reported clinical signs of Rabies.

13 nos died in Rangajaan area, 1 no in Mihimukh area, 2 nos in Peelkhana area. Hence, the park authorities are taking precautionary action.

In coming days, the rest of the pachyderms will be vaccinated, informed officials from Kaziranga National Park.
