Colombo: Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has cancelled the 2020 edition of the Asia Cup. Following several weeks of speculation, the ACC finally announced its decision on Thursday. Meanwhile, the ACC is on the lookout for a window to hold the tournament in June 2021.
The T20 tournament was slated to be played in September in Sri Lanka in the wake of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) offering to swap hosting rights following the COVID-19 pandemic.
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Wednesday unofficially confirmed the tournament's cancellation during a talk with a news channel.
