Shankar Brata Raimedhi appointed as Chief Investigating Officer in SFJ Case

Shankar Brata Raimedhi, an Assam-Meghalaya Cadres IPS Officer of 2011 RR has been appointed as the Chief investigating officer in the NIA case registered against alleged “Khalistani Terrorists” seen in the farmers protest in Delhi, RC-40/2020/NIA/DLI.

He went to deputation to NIA as SP last year, in January 2020.

He was posted as SP, Nagaon District before he went on deputation to NIA.

His mother is Indrani Raimedhi, who had been writing columns in the Assam Tribune for decades. Basically, the privileged elite of Guwahati.
