He slammed 55 off 74 balls, before losing his wicket to Mohammed Siraj. For India, Siraj was on fire, registering his maiden five-wicket haul. Meanwhile, Shardul Thakur took four wickets. The home's side bowling department will be aiming to add pressure on the Indian batsmen, and grab a much-needed win. For India, a draw will see them retain the Border Gavaskar trophy, with the series tied at 1-1, but will be looking to secure back-to-back series wins Down Under.
